Efektivitas Pendampingan Mobilisasi Dini terhadap Penyembuhan Luka Sectio Caesaria pada Ibu Post Sectio Caesaria di RSUD Sumbawa

Caesarean section (CS) is a surgical procedure that carries a risk of postoperative complications, including surgical wound infection (SSI), which can prolong healing. Post-caesarean infection is reported to be substantially higher than after vaginal delivery. Early mobilization is one of the efforts that can support wound healing. To determine the effectiveness of early mobilization assistance on wound healing in post-caesarean section mothers. This quantitative study used a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest design with a control group. It was conducted in the Postpartum Ward of Sumbawa Regional Hospital in February–March 2026. The sample consisted of 34 post-CS mothers, with 17 participants in the intervention group and 17 in the control group, selected using consecutive sampling. The intervention group received leaflet-based education and direct early mobilization assistance, while the control group received leaflet-based education without assistance. Wound healing was assessed using the REEDA scale. The Mann-Whitney test was used because the data were not normally distributed. The median REEDA score in the intervention group remained 0.00 at pretest and posttest, while the standard deviation decreased from 0.996 to 0.588 and the maximum score decreased from 3 to 2. In the control group, the median increased from 0.00 to 2.00, the standard deviation increased from 1.414 to 2.215, and the maximum score increased from 4 to 7. The Mann-Whitney test showed a mean rank of 14.06 in the intervention group and 20.94 in the control group, with Z = -2.310 and p = 0.021 (<0.05).
