Implementasi Merawat Jalan Poli Gigi terhadap Efektivitas SIMRS di RSUD Kesehatan Kerja Provinsi Jawa Barat

Digital transformation in the healthcare sector has driven the adoption of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) within Hospital Management Information Systems (SIMRS) to enhance the quality and effectiveness of healthcare services. This study aims to examine the implementation of EMR in the Dental Clinic's outpatient services and its impact on HMIS effectiveness at the West Java Provincial Occupational Health Regional General Hospital (RSUD Kesehatan Kerja). A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed. Informants were selected via purposive sampling and included the Head of Medical Records, registration staff, dentists, dental nurses, and information technology personnel. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The results indicate that EMR has been implemented across all service stages, supporting SIMRS effectiveness by facilitating easy access to patient information, ensuring documentation accuracy, accelerating service delivery, and improving coordination among healthcare professionals. Challenges identified included network disruptions, system slowdowns, redundant data entry, and suboptimal integration between system modules. In conclusion, while EMR implementation in the Dental Clinic's outpatient services has supported HMIS effectiveness, further improvements specifically regarding infrastructure, system integration, maintenance, and user competency are required to ensure the implementation remains effective and sustainable.
