This study aims to improve safety and efficiency in aircraft landing gear maintenance at the Aviation Facilities Calibration Center (BBKFP). BBKFP currently lacks a landing gear stand, which increases the risk of workplace accidents and component damage during the removal, inspection, and installation processes. This research designs a landing gear stand for the King Air B350i aircraft using the VDI 2221 method, which consists of four stages: clarification of task, conceptual design, embodiment design, and detailed design. The design process was based on field observations and discussions with BBKFP personnel to determine user requirements. The tool was designed to support a load of up to 157.5 kg (safety factor 1.5), be operable by one person, have a vertical lifting mechanism, and use strong yet easily obtainable materials. The selected design features a “U”-shaped cross-section with a 2-ton hydraulic jack lifting system and pin-lock safety mechanism. The main material, SS400 steel, has a yield strength of 245 MPa. Structural analysis showed that all stresses were below the allowable limit of 61.25 MPa, with a maximum stress of 3.32 MPa. The stand is equipped with four caster wheels (350 kg capacity each) and a base frame of 1000 × 1000 × 40 mm. Functional testing confirmed the tool’s safety, stability, efficiency, and suitability for BBKFP’s operational needs.
