Abstract

This study aims to analyze the collaboration between the industrial sector and health vocational schools in building a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem within Indonesia’s Health Vocational High Schools (SMK Kesehatan). The research employs a descriptive-analytical literature review method by examining 25 national and international journal articles indexed at least in SINTA 5 or reputable international databases, published between 2019 and 2025. The findings reveal that collaboration between schools and industry plays a crucial role in strengthening students’ entrepreneurial competencies through internships, industrial training, and entrepreneurship-based learning programs. Such partnerships create synergy between labor market demands and vocational education curricula, enhancing students’ employability and entrepreneurial independence. Furthermore, the sustainability of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in health vocational schools depends heavily on policy support, industry commitment, and systematic partnership management. The study also highlights that the triple helix model—integrating education, industry, and government sectors—serves as an effective approach for fostering sustainable economic development within vocational health education. Therefore, the development of a sustainable entrepreneurship ecosystem in Health Vocational Schools should focus on establishing business incubation centers, improving teacher competencies, and strengthening industrial partnership networks as long-term strategies toward self-reliant and innovative vocational education.
