Abstract

Human resources (HR) are a vital asset for every organization as they act as planners, implementers, and drivers in achieving organizational goals. Employee performance is the main indicator of organizational success, measured by the quality and quantity of work results in accordance with assigned tasks. In an organizational context, employee performance is influenced by multiple factors, including leadership style, motivation, and work environment. Leadership style reflects the behavioral norms applied by supervisors in influencing employees, which can either encourage or hinder performance. Motivation plays a crucial role in fostering enthusiasm, responsibility, and productivity, while a conducive work environment enhances comfort and supports harmonious working relationships that positively impact performance. This study focuses on the Fire and Rescue Department of Palopo Sector, which has unique characteristics of high-risk fieldwork and challenging environmental conditions, such as exposure to heat, dust, and direct interaction with the public. Using a quantitative approach, the study surveyed both civil servant and non-civil servant employees to analyze the influence of leadership style, work environment, and motivation on performance. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple regression techniques. The results are expected to demonstrate that all three variables—leadership style, work environment, and motivation—have both partial and simultaneous effects on employee performance. The findings of this study can provide practical insights for organizational leaders in improving human resource management, particularly in work environments with high levels of risk and responsibility.
