Analysis Of the Shipping Process Based On Category and Number Of Goods Case Study at PT Era Medika Alkesindo

PT Era Medika Alkesindo is a company engaged in the provision of medical devices with the Onehealth brand. There are several obstacles in carrying out the warehouse activity process, one of which is in terms of shipping goods where the category of types of goods and the number of goods sent do not match the purchase order. Based on this problem, the researcher tried to describe the root of the existing problems so that it is hoped that the solutions provided can be considered to improve operations in the PT Era Medika Alksesindo warehouse. Root cause analysis is the method chosen to be used in finding out the main cause or source of a problem. The causes of delivery errors were found using the Five Whys technique for 5 delivery error factors, namely manpower factors, method factors, material factors, media factors, and management factors. Some suggestions for improvement given are to add workers who are adjusted to effective working hours, emphasize the implementation of Standard operating Procedure for every activity in the warehouse, implement performance and results evaluations, utilize warehouse management systems to reduce human error. After knowing the root of the problem and the solutions that may be applied, it can certainly reduce the discrepancy in the delivery of goods by PT Era Medika Alkesindo.
