The development of digital media has influenced the way students communicate, both in face-to-face interactions and through online platforms. However, in practice, the use of impolite language and a low level of student awareness regarding the impact of messages conveyed in digital spaces are still frequently found. This condition indicates the need to strengthen digital communication ethics in the school environment. This community service activity aims to improve students’ understanding of digital communication ethics through the development of smart and polite communication skills among eleventh-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali. The activity was conducted with the involvement of students, university students, and supervising lecturers. The implementation method employed a descriptive activity-based approach, including direct observation, material presentation, discussion and question-and-answer sessions, as well as evaluation during the activity. The results of the community service activity show that students responded positively and began to demonstrate changes in their communication behavior. Students became more careful in choosing words, better understood the importance of ethical and polite language use, and showed greater awareness of the need to protect privacy in digital communication. Overall, this activity made a positive contribution to increasing students’ awareness and attitudes toward digital communication ethics in the school environment, particularly at SMA Negeri 2 Boyolali.
